The idea
The Constitution of October seventeen ninety-one took effect with the king under house arrest. Austria and Prussia called for his restoration; radicals pushed a preemptive war, declared on Austria in April ninety-two, and Prussia joined Austria. Inflation and rural hunger ran through it all.
