The idea
A dominant strategy is the choice that is best for a player whatever the other player does. When every player has one, the outcome where each plays it is a dominant strategy equilibrium.
In practice
Confessing is dominant for each suspect, so both confess.
Where people slip
Not every game has a dominant strategy. Many do not, which is why the next video's idea is needed.
