Principles of Microeconomics / Unit 2 MIC 0102 short lesson, about 20 seconds
Demand and Quantity Demanded
Captions available
The idea
Demand is the whole relationship between price and the quantity buyers are willing and able to buy, other things unchanged. Quantity demanded is the amount at one particular price.
In practice
A demand schedule lists the pairs; a demand curve draws them, price on the vertical axis.
Where people slip
Willing and able: a wish without the money to pay is not demand.
