Plural Rule: um Becomes a

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

A singular ending in u m forms its plural by changing the u m to a.

Show

Ovum becomes ova; bacterium becomes bacteria; serum becomes sera.

Watch for

Bacteria is already plural. One organism is a bacterium, a distinction charts still get wrong.
