Explanations vs. Arguments

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

An explanation tells why something accepted as true happened. An argument gives reasons to believe something not yet accepted.

"The bridge collapsed because the bolts corroded" — explanation. Nobody's debating whether it collapsed.

Watch for

Same indicator words, different job. Ask: is the "conclusion" already agreed to?
