Leading AI at Work: Governance, Rollout and Practice / Unit 2 LAI 040 worked example, 60 to 90 seconds
The Minimum Viable Adoption
The idea
The book's minimum viable adoption gives value without every part of the method, in four steps and an extension.
In practice
Step one: identify the Gold things in each high-stakes domain, using the risk to people, money or the law as the test. Step two: create Gold Packs for those things, and only those things, to begin with. Step three: write cards only for the behaviors that change a Gold thing, leaving routine behaviors in the stories the team already writes. Step four: build matrix entries first for the Gold things most exposed to regulation or audit. Step five: over time, extend Silver Packs to supporting things, broaden matrix coverage, and work the method into refinement and release.
Where people slip
The order is deliberate. Starting with Gold things puts the first effort where a mistake would cost the most, which is also where the first success is most visible.
