You Do Not Need the Formulas
Captions available
The idea
Clinicians do not need to carry statistical formulas in their heads to appraise literature. Knowing how to interpret the common measures, and when each is used, is enough.
In practice
An appraiser reaching for a reference to check a measure rather than recalling it.
Where people slip
This is the anchor's own position and it lowers the barrier considerably. Interpreting is the skill; calculating is not.
