The idea
The first consideration is how many studies exist in the body of evidence that can answer the question.
In practice
A question addressed by two studies, and another addressed by thirty.
Where people slip
More studies is not automatically better evidence. Thirty poor studies remain poor evidence, in bulk, and counting them does not change that.
