Evidence-Based Practice / Unit 3   EBP 0315 short lesson, about 20 seconds

Systematic Review Is Not Narrative Review

Captions available

The idea

A systematic review follows a described, reproducible method. A narrative review summarises a literature without one. This course never uses either name for the other.

In practice

Two papers reviewing the same topic, one stating its search and inclusion rules and one not.

Where people slip

Both are called "reviews" in journals and in conversation. Only one is preappraised evidence.
