Evidence-Based Practice / Unit 2 EBP 0183 short lesson, about 20 seconds
A Clinical Question Has No Direction
Captions available
The idea
A clinical question seeks the whole body of evidence, so it states no direction for the outcome — it asks how the intervention affects the outcome, not whether it improves it.
In practice
A question asking how a practice affects a rate, without saying which way.
Where people slip
This is the clearest test of a clinical question, and it is one word long: affect, not reduce.
