Strategy — Autonomy Over Practice
Captions available
The idea
Clinicians are given autonomy over their own practice, so that evidence they have appraised can actually change what they do.
In practice
A unit permitted to alter a practice on the strength of its own appraisal.
Where people slip
Competence without authority produces frustration. A clinician who can judge the evidence and cannot act on it has been trained into a dead end.
