The Cyber Resource
Captions available
The idea
Cyber resources are the platforms, solutions, processes, policies, and procedures that store, process, and manage data electronically and make it available over networks — the full estate the security discipline protects.
In practice
An agency's apps, servers, rulebooks, and runbooks all count as the estate.
Where people slip
Policies and procedures are resources too; attackers treat them that way.
