The Unsigned Range

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

An unsigned integer is a non-negative integer, and n bits present exactly 2 to the n values — the range running from zero up to 2 to the n, minus one.

Show

Three bits on a scoreboard cover eight scores, zero through seven, and not one more.

Watch for

The ceiling is arithmetic, not policy.
