Standard State and ΔH°
This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.
State
A standard state is a fixed reference condition, materials at 1 bar and solutions at 1 M, and ΔH° marks a change under it.
Show
A table listing ΔH° values for many reactions lets chemists compare them on one shared footing, regardless of when each was measured.
Watch for
ΔH°, carrying its standard-state superscript, and an ordinary ΔH under unstated conditions are not interchangeable labels.
