Anion
This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.
State
An anion is a negatively charged ion, formed when an atom or molecule gains one or more electrons.
Show
A bromine atom that gains one electron becomes the Br− anion, carrying one more electron than it has protons.
Watch for
"Anion" and "cation" are easy to swap under time pressure — anion's gained electrons pull toward the negative sign.
