Faraday's Constant

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

Faraday's constant is the electric charge carried by one mole of electrons, the conversion factor between moles of electrons and coulombs of charge.

Show

Two moles of electrons carry twice Faraday's constant in total charge, regardless of which redox reaction produced them.

Watch for

Faraday's constant converts moles of electrons to charge — it carries no information about a specific reaction's spontaneity by itself.
