Precision

Precision describes how closely repeated measurements of the same quantity agree with one another, regardless of whether they are correct.

A dispenser that fills bottles at 283.3, 284.1, and 283.9 mL every time is precise, because the values cluster tightly together.

Watch for

"Precise" and "accurate" are routinely treated as the same word; a set of tightly clustered results can still be consistently wrong.
