For a solver, constraints are fuel: each rule powers deletions, so more rules can ease the solving even while making the satisfying harder.

Each festival rule shrank a domain; few rules give propagation nothing to chew, and search inherits the space raw.

Harder to satisfy and harder to solve are different axes — keep them apart and the inversion stops being strange.
