Analyzing and Interpreting Literature / Unit 15   AIL 1433 short lesson, about 20 seconds

The Anchor's Shakespeare Guides

Captions available

The idea

The anchor supplies study guides for both plays, offering readings and questions. Under decision D6 a guide's reading is attributed to the guide. They are useful for finding what a scene is usually thought to be about and are not evidence about an exam passage.

In practice

A guide's reading is the guide's.

Where people slip

Direction, not evidence.
