"Where I Lived, and What I Lived For"

The idea
Thoreau says he went to the woods to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts, and to avoid discovering at death that he had not lived. The chapter's instruction is to simplify, and its complaint is that people have become the tools of their tools.
In practice
Live deliberately, and simplify.
Where people slip
Deliberate means chosen, not slow.
