ACT Preparation / Unit 5 ACT 0415 short lesson, about 20 seconds
The Reason Is the Answer

The idea
Add-or-delete questions often pair yes or no with a reason. The reason is what is tested: a right yes with a wrong reason is a wrong answer.
In practice
"Yes, because it adds a detail about cost" is wrong if the sentence says nothing about cost.
Where people slip
Check each reason against the sentence and the paragraph.
